Advertising copywriting, ingredient research, instruction manuals for cosmeticians and resellers of an international beauty brand. Some Spanish-to-English translation. Some copywriting in Spanish. Extensive project lasting five months and requiring multiple in-person meetings and work at L’BEL offices in San Francisco.
From 1999 – 2006, Alexandra worked as editor in chief of Software Development magazine, published by CMP. She directed editorial strategy, design and execution of Software Development, a 20-year-old, Maggie Award-winning magazine reaching 100,000 senior software engineers and technical managers.
- Alexandra oversaw the magazine’s redesign, introduced news and variety sections, revamped the salary and job satisfaction survey, initiated daily reporter coverage of SD’s East and West coast conferences, and launched seven e-mail newsletters reaching 70,000 readers each.
- She initiated and managed the editorial webcast strategy in the Software Development Media Group, which comprised 5 magazines, and was the live host for more than a dozen webcasts. These events broke company records for attendance based on magazine circulation size and audience satisfaction, in addition to earning more than $100,000 in revenue.
- She has been a speaker, panelist and keynoter at the SD Conferences, Folio: Show and other industry events, and a voting member of the World Technology Network.
